About Us – The Story Behind An Riasc
A Way of Living, Rooted in West Kerry
Nestled in the heart of the Dingle Peninsula, along the Wild Atlantic Way, An Riasc is more than just a place to stay, it is our family home, and we’re honoured to share it with you. We are not hoteliers. We live here, and have lived here for decades, with our children, the changing skies, the animals, and the rhythm of this valley. Our days revolve around the land and the seasons. Some mornings are full of shared stories and laughter, others are slow and quiet. Every day is lived with presence and intention. For over more than a decade, we’ve welcomed guests from all over the world who come to experience the authentic Irish culture, the breathtaking landscapes of West Kerry, and the warm hospitality that lives in every detail. Our journey began with a simple vision: to create a place of peace, beauty, and connection : a true Irish B&B experience, grounded in care, simplicity, and welcome.

Meet your Host
Denise is the heart behind An Riasc, not a hotelier, but a lifelong local, storyteller, and neighbour.
For over a decade, she has welcomed guests with genuine Irish hospitality, shaped by the rhythm of West Kerry.
From the wildflowers in the B&B dining room to the freshly baked breakfast served each morning, every detail reflects her deep connection to this land. In 2024, Denise lovingly restored her family’s 100-year-old farmhouse, now a peaceful self-catering house ideal for guests seeking space, silence, or longer stays.
Whether you stay at the B&B or in the beautifully restored An Riasc Farmhouse, you’ll find the same warmth, care, and authenticity. Here, you’re more than a guest, you’re part of the home.

The Irish B&B Today
We believe that Irish B&Bs have something truly special to offer. They are not just places to sleep, but an experience of connection, slowness, and authenticity.
As The Irish Times put it in a 2021 article:
“The B&B needs to be reinvented… what we have to offer is unique.”

"House was beautiful but even more beautiful was the warm welcome we received from Denise. We arrived at dinner time and she had some recommendations for nearby restaurants. The bed was super comfortable and the homemade gourmet breakfast was hearty and delicious."

"The best B&B we have ever stayed at. The An Riasc is, by itself, already an excellent B&B. The beds are good, the building and the rooms are beautiful and the breakfast is excellent (!) What makes it one of the nicest places we have ever stayed are the people. They made us feel at home away from home and we were honestly sad to leave. I highly recommend a longer stay, not just to get a feel for the Dingle peninsula (which, to be sure, is a good idea), but also to enjoy the uniquely warm hospitality of the people running the An Riasc. We hope to come back."

"Welcoming rural b&b near Dingle • Charming 4 room b&b in a quiet rural area near Dingle. • Authentic irish experience with a welcoming hostess and her staff. We got recommendations for activities and locations in the area. (Beaches, viewpoints, town of Dingle..) • Traditional irish breakfast, that was freshly prepaired by the hosts and was delicious. • The rooms are bright and well furnished in a colourful way. • We definitely recommend staying with Denise & her team:)"

"Exceptional property and host. Beautiful house and rooms; very clean and quiet, in a lovely location. We didn’t want to be in the heart of Dingle, so the location was perfect for us. Denise and her staff couldn’t have been nicer - went over and above the call of duty with helpfulness. Breakfasts were also wonderful. Highly recommended!"
